1 Dozen Wooden Eggs
sized appx. 2.5" tall x 1.5" deep (roughly the size of a store-bought egg)

(includes one dozen raw wooden eggs; basket / paint not included)

They have a flat bottom for standing display, or they can be placed in a bowl or even displayed hanging by simply adding a small screw eye for ribbon, twin, etc.

We originally offered our wooden eggs in the Marbled Wooden Easter Eggs Workshop here at The Makers Downtown. But due to Covid-19 impacts, we are currently unable to offer in-person art instruction. (We attempted to package up DIY take home kits, but when we discovered that the solvent based marbling paint was eating through our take-home containers, we quickly realized this option would not work.)

As an alternative we have found this fun and easy technique for marbling with finger nail polish and other supplies you may already have at home!

There are other similar tutorials available online as well. The great thing about this is that you can marble many different types of objects - plastic Christmas ornaments you may have in storage, paper crafts, even rocks your kiddos may find around your backyard... use your imaginations and have fun!

For anyone who wants to try their hand at marbling wooden eggs (or painting however else you wish), we have several dozen available at $15 per dozen (plus tax). Free local delivery, curbside pickup and shipping options available. We do recommend painting the eggs white for more color contrast, but you can certainly marble over the raw wood if you wish. And remember, at the end of the day it's just paint! If you make a boo boo, you can easily sand it down a bit, paint over it, and marble again!

Please note: We recommend a well ventilated area if you are using fingernail polish or any other type of solvent based paint.
